Yesterday, I was minding my own business relaxing in my home when I was alerted by my front door that a Brianna Beorn (rezzed 06/27/09) had attempted to open my front door. This happens all the time since I live on a public commerical sim, its the price I pay to do business. But, when then my back door also alerted me I thought here we go, another ill-mannered newbie. I peered out my window to see a poorly dressed waif of a woman lurking just outside my window. Then to my surprise that same woman magically appears onto my couch. I was so shocked, if I could see her surely she saw me as well. Here is what the crook had to say:

In Texas, you have the right to shoot and kill anyone who trepasses on your property, that is what the law deems as "defense of dwelling."
In the context of Second Life® a resident who gains access to another resident’s “land” without their permission, then by definition is a trespasser. There is however a distinction between intentionally trespassing and accidentally trespassing. Intentional trespass is the equivalent of exploiting bugs in the permissions system (when a parcel is protected), taking advantage of the physics engine, or more often than not; merely by moving through the front door.
Which brings me back to Ms. Brianna Beorn, who gained access to my home by moving through the door and hopping my backyard hedges to gain access to my back door. Upon looking at her profile I see that she is an escort (pfft). Which some people might conclude means that her morality gauge is set to low. But, what I found most hypocritical was the personal statement she makes in her ABOUT window. "For those idiots that say SL=SL and RL is RL, remember....Real persons in RL are typing.....Avatars are steered by humans who feel, fear, worry and love." And I will add "disrespect" upright land owners to her diatribe.
How dare her invade my home in a manner that so violated my personal security. She deserves more than just to be killed and banned, it is exactly there types of free loading no payment on file people who bring the quality of life in Second Life® down.
